CEREC one-visit restorations use a type of CAD/CAM technology (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing). This technology is highly versatile, and can be used in a wide variety of restorative treatments, including crowns, veneers, fillings, and inlays and onlays. While traditional techniques may require two visits to complete many of these restorations, CEREC completes them in just one, saving you time as well as discomfort.
When you receive a CEREC restoration our dentists will:
- Examine your teeth and remove any weakened or decayed tooth material
- Capture a digital picture of your mouth
- Convert the digital image to a 3D model
- Design your restoration using the 3D model
- Immediately mill your restoration from a block of high-quality porcelain
In just a few minutes, your restoration will be complete and Dr. Kevin Lacour or Dr. Charles Burch can bond it into place to complete your treatment and give you back your smile.
